Lego Star Wars!!!
Just wanted to write a quick note about my new 2nd job: Playing Lego Star Wars (and Lego Batman) with Owen has become a daily activity. Some days it is the thing I look forward to most and helps get me through the day. Not because the game is that fun, but because Owen and I set aside the Daddy and son role (disciplining, cuddling, teaching, etc) and we are just 2 best pals playing a game. I will cherish that time forever. I get to see another side of Owen and he is a really sweet best pal. Though a bit inpatient :-)
CD release show...
Was last night and by all accounts a success. We arrived in the limo bus, we had good attendance, the wives were all there, should have been fun. And it was, but I was feeling a little distant and somewhere else. Just not feeling it. Partly because it was pretty stressful for me to set it up and then keep dealing with Tom's little breakdowns. He has been difficult lately. Also Partly for reasons I really cant explain. I dont know why but I feel like it is probably close to and end.

Fall is Passing
Where did the summer go? It flew by. And Fall is almost over now. I loved coaching soccer this fall. Here is my team on their last game after party. All of the kids were awesome, Owen on the other hand had trouble I think sharing his dad.
I am also getting closer to OK with the idea of bringing another little one into the world. I think i need my head examined...
Staring winter and the holiday season in the face. Wondering how hard it will be. Marcy will be so starkly absent, it will be very hard. I hope we can find some peace and comfort in knowing she is still with us.

Funny
May-May has started putting words together into 2 word sentences. I just wanted to list a few of my favorite:
1. Daddy - happy (I am happy to see daddy)
2. Baba - Mommy (Mom's bottle)
3. Baba - Meelk (I want my milk)
He is still really attached to me in fact he is sitting in my lap as I write this, but he is slowly getting more independnent. I also picked the kids up from Mimai Valley school camp this week and it was really awesome. Mel had a doctors appointment so I left work to get Mason then pick up Owen and the neighbor kids (Nick and Faith and Joe-Owen's buddy). But seeing the kids at camp and taking May-may and seeing him so excited to do all the big kids stuff, really warmed my heart. Our kids really have a wonderful and blessed childhood, I hope nothing ever changes that. I want for them to play and learn their whole lives and never suffer or be sad. I think every parent wants that :-)

Fathers day
So Today is father's day, and it was a pretty ordinary Sunday: Got up fed and dressed the kids, got em ready for church, held a squirmy 21 month old through long church service, got lunch came home ate and played with Mason, then put him down for a nap, called my dad, then played with Owen outside till about 5:00 (Mel was inside cooking all afternoon for the evening gala) then went to Pa's house for dinner at the picnic/pool area. It was a pretty normal day for us but I am so grateful for these kind of days. I am just so fortunate to have a loving family and 2 healthy kids to spend the day with. My thoughts are with Ally and Janel and Jerad and Pa and Mel. I long for the day that Janel and Jerad can say they had an ordinary Sunday with the kids.

Pool Party Day
Today is our neighborhood pool party and the kids are excited to go. They are running around now in their PJ's bouncing off furniture, which is a normal weekend morning.
